Introducing the four Public Libraries:

A unique centre with two types of differentiated functions: a public library offering resources and services of information, education and cultural leisure; and a regional library related to the safeguard and diffusion of the bibliographic regional production etc.

The Municipal Public Libraries of Randers work in a society with a big city with 60.000 inhabitants and a lot of small villages in the surrounding areas. The society of Randers has adapted from an industrial society to a knowledge society and that gives the staff at the library quite new challenges.

The Municipal Public Libraries of Helsingborg consist of a city library and ten branch libraries. The library takes active part in the development of the municipality and in the improvement of the every-day life and opportunities of the citizens. Helsingborg has about 120.000 citizens originating from several different cultures.

The Oton Zupancic regional public library consists of six branch libraries and one mobile library. In the library several services for special groups of users have been established: Learning Exchange, Employment Information Service, Open Learning Centre, Youth Centre and Reading Exchange Centre. Ljubljana is a capital of Slovenia with 267.563 inhabitants.
